With the summer season drawing to a close, we should all be
on the lookout for a staple coat to get us through the wintery months. Luxury
Italian outerwear label, Moncler has just the thing thanks to their collaboration
with the master of print, Mary Katrantzou.
In this capsule collection, we see the maximalist shapes and
kaleidoscope prints that Katrantzou is known for really ooze with the luxury always
seen in a Moncler jacket. This collection consists of coats, jackets, skirts
and trousers, all of which are perfectly balanced with boldness and elegance.
My personal favourite out of the collection is the blue,
orange and white digital print coat (see bottom right). The structure of this
jacket is flattering to the figure and the pleats from the centre front
waistline add to its elegance. The design
is kept fresh and modern with the high neckline, seen throughout the collection,
which is a practical feature for winter and gives an empowering feel.
With prices starting at €650 however, the bold print on a jacket
may be less practical with your wardrobe and so a more sensible splurge of your
money would probably be on one of the quilted jackets. The contrast of fabric
textures in these jackets looks expensive and will be sure to keep you warm. Whilst
the silhouette is oversized, a big trend for this winter, these jackets still
come across as classic and feminine.
This limited collection will be available at Moncler boutiques
worldwide this month. Make your decision quickly because this is a collection
sure to be a sell-out.
